We invite you to a special challenge May 1-12. 🔒🔐🔓#MasterKeyMay Master Key (n., v.): Unlocks every door. How do we become a Master Key? By allowing ourselves to sit in and experience the posture, we begin to unlock our practice. A typical key is a small piece of metal consisting of two parts: the blade, which slides into the keyway of the lock and distinguishes between different keys, and the bow, which is left protruding so that torque can be applied by the user. Some postures unlock emotionally (the “blade”) and some postures unlock physically (the “bow”); sometimes the unlocking is simultaneous. Moment to moment, our practice has the ability to open any door we attempt because when it comes down to it, we are each our own Master Key. How we allow the postures to work on and in us, can determine the doors we unlock. The intention for #MasterKeyMay is much like putting a new key into a door– which way does it turn to unlock? The primary focus of this challenge is to slow down and hold the posture, setting intention to be open to receive whatever the practice has for you. It doesn’t mean we have it all figured out, just that we know we are the key to our yoga practice. Good morning loves, I’m back!! 👊🏼 I’m so excited for May’s challenge: #springintosplits (and shoulders! I just didn’t want the hashtag too long 😂). I get asked about center splits a LOT, so when it was suggested as a challenge theme I jumped on it! Since shoulder openers are another common question, I threw some of those in too. All month we will work on poses to open your hips and hamstrings for center splits with shoulder openers every few days to give your legs a break. This challenge IS beginner friendly and truly ALL LEVELS. 🌷🌳🌷🌳🌷 RULES 🌷🌳🌷🌳🌷 1. Follow the host (that’s me, @busybodyogi) and our AMAZING sponsors @altaregoapparel, @amy_theartist, and @mamakuka 💜 2.
